Rangeley Sheet and Trap Club
Participant Agreement, Release and Acknowledgement of Risk
In consideration of the services of Rangeley Skeet and Trap
Club (RS&TC), I hereby agree on behalf of myself and my children as
follows:
1. I
acknowledge that participation in the RS&TC Sporting Clays, Trap, and Skeet
shooting entails known and unanticipated risks which include physical injury,
paralysis, death, or damage to myself, to my children, to the children that I
am responsible for, to property, or to third parties.� I understand that such risks are inherent in
the activity and cannot be diminished without jeopardizing the essential
qualities of the activity.� I have read
the list of some risks associated with this program.
2. I further
acknowledge that the club members cannot pay continuous attention to all
participants and cannot be responsible for our safety at all times.� I will promptly report to the club members
any injuries or any unsafe or dangerous conditions or situations, and I will
cooperate with them fully to insure my safety and the safety of others.� I also understand that RS&TC is not
responsible for the weather, terrain, wildlife, or equipment failure and they
may cause or contribute to an injury or property damage.
3. I agree to
release and discharge RS&TC and its members from any and all claims or
liabilities arising from or connected with my participation or my child's
participation in either Sporting Clays, Skeet Shooting, or Trap Shooting as
well as any and all claims or liabilities arising from or connected with our
presence on RS&TC property.
4. I am aware
of the level of fitness that is needed for this activity.� I certify that I have no medical conditions
or restrictions that prevents me from safely participating in this program.� I also certify that my children and the
children that I am responsible for have no medical conditions or restrictions
that prevents them from participating in the program.
5. I
understand that this release applies to myself and my children as well as to
each of our heirs, insurers, successors and assigns.
6. Risks in
Sporting Clays, Trap, and Skeet shooting include: heat-related illnesses, ear
and eye damage, gunshot wounds, death, dehydration, muscle strains, muscle
sprains, bone breaks, cuts, exposure to biting insects and any infectious
diseases they might carry, and sunburn.
Shooting Range Rules:

Keep firearm unloaded and the action open when you are
not shooting.
�
Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
�
No shot larger than 6 steel is permitted.
�
Carry only the correct gauge ammunition for the gun in
use.
�
Wear eye and ear protection at all times.
�
Do not lean out from shooting cage.
�
Treat every gun like a loaded gun.
�
Do not point loaded gun at trapper.
I have read
and understand the above terms and warning and agree to be bound by these
terms.
